Your overnight stay

Whether down from Brabant or Bavaria,

Jutland or the Ardennes

Relying on rhythm of pedal or leisurely plod

Or maybe rocking and rolling round each twist and turn.

Remember, Rovigo’s only a donkey ride away, and a

Charabanc from Molfetta might do just as nicely, or even

A scooter ride up from Reggio Emilia.

Whichever – at least you’ve made it.

Here on the threshold of the Spluga Alpine Pass.

Take in a moment’s silence –

Quite unannounced – though no less deserved.

Whatever

We bid you welcome to

Our historic home

Forever open to voyagers from all over the world.

You see – even if: the floors remain somewhat uneven, and the wood sings along to your every swaying movement,

no t.v. (please don’t request) but free wi-fi and just outside vast heavens await your contemplation

we use little fabric softener (believing that the lake trout deserve as much, or rather, less) and equally considering the well-being of your very own skin

because it’s all part of our ”grand scheme” meaning minimal change to the very essence of our centuries-old Ca’ de la Montagna.

Ciao and thanks to one and all

Roberto e Rosemary
